Job Description:

The Butcher Block Meat Clerk plays a critical role in ensuring that our meat, seafood, and poultry products are accurately priced, labeled, and presented to our customers. This position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Pricing and labeling of products
• Providing exceptional customer service
• Maintaining a clean and organized work area
• Assisting with receiving and stocking merchandise
• Implementing effective promotional displays
• Participating in inventory management
• Complying with company policies and procedures

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a grocery or retail environment is preferred
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds and stand for long periods of time
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues
• Basic mathematics and weights and measures knowledge
• Knowledge of product variety, standards, perishability, product handling, sanitation, labeling, and department policies and procedures
