Our Tolleson, AZ Distribution Center has an Immediate need for a Diesel Mechanic to join our high performing transportation team at our Distribution Center located in Tolleson, AZ. This is a hands-on opportunity that offers continued career progression.

What You Will Be Doing
Our Tolleson, AZ Distribution Center has an Immediate need for a Diesel Mechanic to join our high performing transportation team at our Distribution Center located in Tolleson, AZ. This is a hands-on opportunity that offers continued career progression.
Key Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
- Perform preventative maintenance on diesel tractors, trailers, and trailer refrigeration units.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment problems.
- Answer drivers’ telephone request for assistance with equipment failure while out on the road.
- Maintain and repair all equipment (tractors, trailers, trailer refrigeration units, converter gears) to include engines, starting and charging, cooling, electrical, body, wheels, brakes, and suspension.
- Follow all company procedures and ensure a safe work environment.
- Responsible for performing all job duties with honesty and integrity.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- EPA certification section 608 & 609 a must have for this role.
- Prior experience as a Diesel Mechanic or combination of formal/technical education and directly related experience.
- Experience in electronic diagnostics and welding.
- Experience in engine diagnostics specifically as relates to heavy equipment.
- Experience in welding of suspension systems as relates to heavy equipment.
- Must be 18 years of age or older, with a valid driver’s license.
- Current CDL license (preferred)
- Must supply own tools up to 1 ¼” size with the proper toolbox, including pneumatic tools.
- Ability to reach, lift and work objects weighing up to 100 lbs. Ability to push and pull heavy equipment.
- Manual dexterity, overall coordination, and good balance to work both at ground level and high places.
- Ability to stand, walk and work in close quarters, prone and awkward positions for lengthy periods occasionally.
- Mental alertness and good vision are necessary to ensure safe and accurate completion of work activities.
- Exposure to hazards exists with respect to equipment, work areas, tools welding equipment, presses and other power equipment.
- Must be able to work full-time.
