Job Summary
Frozen Food Supervisor is responsible for directing the operation of the frozen food department. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for providing exceptional customer service.
Main Responsibilities
• Assist the Grocery Manager in planning and organizing merchandise requirements and special sales needs.
• Supervise and train personnel to ensure high-quality products are maintained and customers receive safe and friendly service.
• Maintain backroom inventory, conditions, and standards, including rotating and facing product, processing outdated and spoiled items, and cleaning shelves.
• Order frozen merchandise and assist with grocery stocking and conditioning.
• Train, teach, and coach dairy stocking and conditioning standards and assist with reclamation processes.
Requirements
• Strong written and oral communication skills and good leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain composure in dealing with customers, vendors, and co-workers, as well as concentrate and deal with interruptions and customer complaints.
• Frequent reaching, lifting, stacking, and maneuvering objects up to 80 lbs, as well as standing, walking, and moving rapidly for long periods of time.
• Requires knowledge of basic mathematics, ability to learn inventory control, pricing, merchandising, and shipping and receiving procedures.
