What You Will Be Doing
The Governance Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the relationships with third-party service providers for the Demand Planning and Buying functions. This role ensures offshore activities align with company goals, initiatives, processes, and procedures including regulatory requirements. The Sr. Governance Manager leads the governance team and partners with key business stakeholders to ensure a cohesive partnership.
The position will be based in Boise, AZ or one of our main corporate/divisional offices (Seattle, WA, Portland, OR, Pleasanton CA, Denver CO, Dallas TX, Chicago, IL, or Fullerton, CA, Phoenix, AZ).
The salary range is $95,400.00 to $133,380.00 annually. Starting salary will vary based on criteria such as location, experience and qualifications. There may be flexibility for exceptional candidates.
Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, sick pay (accrued based on hours worked). PTO/Vacation Pay (accrued based on hours worked) or Flexible Time Off, paid holidays (8-9 days annually), bereavement pay, and retirement benefits (such as 401(k) eligibility). Main Responsibilities
- Establishes and maintains strong relationships with outsourcing partners.
- Monitors performance and ensures adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).
- Develops and implements governance frameworks to oversee outsourcing activities.
- Ensures compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
- Identifies and mitigates risks associated with outsourcing. Conducts regular risk assessments and implements corrective actions as needed.
- Performance Monitoring: Tracks the performance of outsourcing partners.
- Participates in the negotiation, execution, and management of contracts with outsourcing partners. Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate regular communication between internal stakeholders and outsourcing partners. Address any issues or conflicts that arise.
- Implements continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of third party relationship and partnership.
- Conducts regular audits to ensure compliance with governance frameworks and regulatory requirements. Prepare and present audit reports to senior management.
- Provides training and support to internal teams on governance best practices and outsourcing management.
- Responsible for conveying any necessary process changes to the third-party resources.
- Monitors planned inbound product flow to ensure SLA misses are avoided proactively.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field. A master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, CISA) is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in replenishment, planning, governance, risk management, or vendor management roles preferred.
- 5 years managing teams.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities to address and resolve issues.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
