DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Maintains an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with an emphasis on providingfast and friendly Customer Service.
- Assists customers by making product suggestions.
- Engages in suggestive selling and other sales techniques via telephone, in-store intercomannouncements and one-on-one customer interaction.
- Answers and responds to incoming calls appropriately. Receive and appropriately resolvescustomer complaints and reports to Store Director as needed.
- Assists with planning nightly operations, monitoring production process following company procedures andprofitability.
- Builds Grocery displays, rotates and discards outdated or spoiled product. Ensures cleanliness of work areaand department.
- Implements effective promotional and seasonal displays. Assists with coordinating grocery salespromotions.
- Ensures that merchandise is correctly priced and displayed and that shelves are clean and properlymaintained.
- Ability to follow and maintain department standards and requirements.
- Monitors employee' productivity.
- Specific knowledge of duties performed by all department employees. Including but not limited toOpening / Closing duties, Dairy and Frozen.
- Supervise, train and assign duties to department employees.
- Train employees in store policies, sales and record keeping procedures.
- Working knowledge of company policies and guidelines as outlined in the Albertsons / Tom ThumbEmployee Handbook.
- Responsible for insuring proper code dating for all products within the department are being enforced.
- May assist with physical inventory taken every 6 months.
- Controls inventory to ensure adequate product quantity, quality and freshness and maintainsinventory levels according to division directives. Stocks and rotates product.
- Supervises the processing of all reclamation as well as maintains orderly and in stock conditions inback room and all Grocery Department areas.
- Controls shrink and cost.
- Implements correct product preparation techniques. Uses and operates related equipment such as palletjack, hand truck, scissors, knives, safety cutters and Sterilox machine.
- Performs receiving duties including breaking down loads, verifying orders using invoices, inspectingquality, reporting shortage, stocking and rotating product. Adheres to product temperature and storageguidelines and follows proper packaging techniques. Processes administrative paperwork andmaintains accurate department records.
- Accurately completes maintains and monitor daily log sheet, sales and labor and other requiredpaperwork and logs.
- Ensures that proper temperature levels for product are maintained. Complies with retail labelinglaws, federal and state regulations, Company and code dating policies
