What You Will Be Doing
The HIPAA Compliance Analyst will play a pivotal role in Albertsons’ expanding privacy team. This position will mitigate risk and ensure compliance with ethical and regulatory standards related to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), individual privacy, and all applicable state and federal regulations.
The position will be based in Boise, Idaho, or one of our main regional offices (Seattle, WA, Portland, OR, Pleasanton CA, Denver CO, Dallas TX, Chicago, IL, or Fullerton, CA, Phoenix, AZ).

What You Will Be Doing
The HIPAA Compliance Analyst will play a pivotal role in Albertsons’ expanding privacy team. This position will mitigate risk and ensure compliance with ethical and regulatory standards related to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), individual privacy, and all applicable state and federal regulations.
The position will be based in Boise, Idaho, or one of our main regional offices (Seattle, WA, Portland, OR, Pleasanton CA, Denver CO, Dallas TX, Chicago, IL, or Fullerton, CA, Phoenix, AZ).
Main Responsibilities
- Assist and collaborate on implementing risk management strategies, including administrative, physical, and technical measures to prevent, control, or reduce identifiable risks based on operational assessments.
- Aid in the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of HIPAA-related policies, standards, procedures, assessments, awareness and training.
- Assist in the monitoring and investigations of operational issues relating to HIPAA compliance matters.
- Track Business Associate Agreements (BAAs) and any related compliance requirements.
- Maintain HIPAA Compliance metrics.
- Support HIPAA breach related response and investigation efforts.
- Support Third Party Privacy Due Diligence efforts.
- Work with Privacy Counsel to ensure the Notice of Privacy Practices addresses new initiatives/activities
- Respond to individual HIPAA inquiries.
What We Are Searching For
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher
- At least two(2) years working in data privacy, legal, regulatory, or compliance role.
- Experience working specifically with state and federal healthcare compliance laws and regulations.
- Experience working in a retail pharmacy environment a plus.
- Experience developing and delivering HIPAA privacy training.
- Ability to work independently, exercise good judgment, and take ownership of issues and matters to their successful conclusion.
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with an ability to inspire trust and confidence with stakeholders at high levels

Salary : $62,700 - $81,540
