What you will be doing
As an Oracle HCM Cloud Security - Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for managing security aspects within our Oracle HCM Cloud, PeopleSoft & Workbrain ecosystem. This role requires a unique blend of expertise in HCM security strategy, and strong leadership skills. The successful candidate will lead initiatives to ensure data security and foster a culture of compliance within the organization and would mentor and train new analysts, work in HCM security, produce innovative solutions to handle customer requirements.
The position will be based in Phoenix, AZ or Plano, TX.

Main responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective security solutions.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive Oracle HCM Cloud security strategy aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of security controls within Oracle HCM Cloud, including user access management, data encryption, and audit trails.
- Manage the security tickets and work on them.
- Work with the external & internal SOX auditor and provide them the required details and take corrective actions based on the recommendations.
- Write & manage BIP Reports to manage various aspects of security.
- Should have practical knowledge of HDLs to load data specifically users & roles.
- Conduct regular security audits, assessments, and vulnerability scans, addressing and mitigating any identified risks.
- Develop and deliver training programs for security team to enhance their understanding of Oracle HCM Cloud Security functionality.
- Develop, refine, and implement security strategies and solutions tailored to HCM within Oracle Cloud to protect sensitive business data.
- Regularly review and refine security configurations, staying abreast of Oracle's product roadmaps, especially concerning security enhancements.
- Requires independent completion of work and is recognized as subject matter expert.
- Sets objectives and delivers results that have direct impact on the achievement of results within the job area.
- Establishes operational plans and work to achieve objectives with longer-term effect on business results of the function.
- Analyze business process strength, weakness, inefficiencies, and risks to determine appropriate process and system design.
- Active in the Requirements gathering, development, review, testing and implementation of system and process enhancements or projects including the preparation and review of associated documentation.
- Lead, drive and facilitate business user meetings to gather process information. Work results have the ability to influence longer-term product or functional decisions.
- Prepare accurate and detailed requirement specifications and functional design documents. Develop solutions using Oracle HCM functionalities as per the business requirements and perform hands-on configuration setup in Oracle HCM Cloud.
- Serve as a key liaison with third parties and other stakeholders to define, implement and support system interfaces.
What we are searching for
- 4 year Bachelor's degree
- At least 7 years of HCM techno-functional experience required preferably for a large multi-state company.
- Advanced experience with Oracle HCM Cloud configurations and processes across Functional Security.
- Experience with Oracle technologies like Page Composer, Sandbox, HCM Design studio, Flexfields, Report Development, Autocomplete rules, Quarterly updates, CWB patches etc.
- Strong functional and technical skills in analyzing functional business processes, process modeling, business modeling tools, developing system solutions and documentation standards.
- Strong collaboration skills while working with senior leaders, IT PMO, and business users/ stakeholders to drive business analysis/system design.
- Strong negotiation skills when working with business users to develop requirements and defend systems capabilities.
- In-depth knowledge of security frameworks, standards, and best practices.
- Experience in designing, implementing, and/or assessing Oracle Cloud security and SOD & SOX controls.
- Strong technical proficiency in Oracle HCM Cloud, including security features.
- Ability to share knowledge and train other team members.
- May require approximately 10% travel depending upon project specifics and business locations.
