What you will be doing
To provide a safe and clean work environment to all visitors and associates at our Melrose Park Distribution Cener. Having a 24-hour, 7 day a week responsibility to manage the warehouse facilities, equipment, and Building and Facility associates to ensure accurate, economical and efficient operation. Ensure that all functions are performed within Company, Distribution Center, Department, and Federal, State and Local agency guidelines.
Main responsibilities
- Supervise the Building and Facility work force in the accomplishment of the day-to-day assignments.
- Oversee the purchase of parts, tools and materials / supplies for the maintenance and sanitation tasks as required
- Verify work orders to ensure they are properly documented for all job tasks.
- Conduct department and entire facility safety and sanitation surveys and assign work orders and the required personnel to correct and prevent equipment and facility deficiencies.
- Respond to and investigate accidents, near miss situations, and the equipment and facility integrity issues.
- Participate in departmental and facility safety meetings routinely.
- Oversee the complex grounds for sanitation and maintenance opportunities to include but not limited to landscape, pavement and snow plowing and removal activities.
- Assist in the troubleshooting of equipment and facility system symptoms.
- Ensures associates have the equipment and tools needed to perform their work and assists them in securing the necessary information, equipment, and tools to address an equipment breakdown.
- Assists in the maintaining of company policies and contractual agreements.
- Develops productive associates through training, coaching, and mentoring (and discipline when necessary) in order to achieve company goals and objectives.
What we are searching for
Pay Rate : $75,000.00 - $81,500.00 annually
Starting rates may vary based on things like location, experience, qualifications and the terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement. Dependent on length of service, hours worked and any applicable collective bargaining agreement, benefits may include healthcare, PTO / Vacation pay and retirement benefits (401(k) eligibility)
