Our district is comprised of one primary school for kindergarten students, three elementary schools for grades 1-4, two middle schools for grades 5-8, and one high school for grades 9-12.
Position Overview & Responsibilities
Responsible for designing and implementing reading interventions, supporting literacy development, teaching reading to individuals and small groups, and modeling and assisting teachers with differentiating reading instruction. Contract: May 2 - June 6, 2025 (25 contract days)
FTE: 1.0
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:15-3:15 (May 2-June 6)
Wages: Long-Term Substiute Certified Staff Rate with Reading certification from PELSB: $249.55/day
Benefits: Available but without district contribution. Earned Safe and Sick Time (ESST) will be provided as required by law.
Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in education and required teaching certificate in related area(s) of instruction as required by the State of Minnesota, specific content knowledge, training or job experience required before appointment, and successful student teacher. K-12 reading license required.
