Field Service Coordinator
Job Description:

Field Service Coordinator (FSC)
1. Schedules work for industrial (process related) type external contractors such as hydro-blasters, chiller repairs, leak clamp installations, scaffolding and the like
2. Plumbing and sewage lift station repairs are to be worked on by a third-party contractor trained and protected against the Hepatitis B Virus.
3. Reaches out daily and at the weekly schedule meeting to area engineers, maintenance superintendent and the maintenance coordinator for field services required. Unplanned field service requests on a given week require approval from the maintenance superintendent. Otherwise, this work will be placed on the following week's schedule if requested before end of day Wednesday.
4. Writes PR in SAP for each service request and approves invoices once confirmed against the expected cost.
a. Ensures contractors meet a minimum site rating score (both HSSE and technical) before issuing a PO.
b. Ensures contractors have an acceptable rating within ISNetworld before issuing a PO
5. Daily routine:
a. Reads electronic logs (from past 24 hours or weekend) to determine where services might be required for the day
b. Reviews new work orders from last 24 hours (or weekend) to determine where additional services might be required for the day
c. Tracks AC service work at the site on a weekly basis. Follows bad actors and larger repair needs.
d. Ensures Safety Green Lights (SGL) and Life Saving Checks (LSC) are completed daily for outside services
e. Generates work permits and conducts pre-work hazard assessment for the next day's work. This includes a field walk (minimum of 24 hours before work starts) with the area engineer or SME to get a basic understanding of the scope of work to be performed.
(1) A basic scope and field walk are required to identify hazards in the field and any mitigation to eliminate. Ideally, this review is completed at least 1 day prior to scheduling the work.
(2) High risk work will be addressed with a pre-job hazard assessment utilizing a LSC form. High risk work includes - hydro-blasting (flushing procedure), hot taps, CSEs, crane lifts (not just heavy lifts) and the like.
f. Approves and signs contractor timesheets.
g. Tracks costs daily in an excel spreadsheet for each contractor, based on ST, OT and equipment hourly (or daily/weekly) rates.
h. Conducts post job audit with contractors and operations 24 hours before demobilization from the site. Focus is on housekeeping and restoring area to the way it was before work began. See Post Job Audit Form
i. Ensures contractor has a site radio and maintains contact in case of an emergency and for routine checks.
j. Provides end of day contractor status updates via e-mail
k. The FSC ensures the following are complete prior to scheduling a contractor
(1) critical lift plans
(2) hot tap checklists
(3) Pre-requisites for underground excavation
l. Conducts contractor field audits utilizing the LSC forms. The focus of these audits is to monitor HSSE performance against company expectations and to ensure work is progressing efficiently and as planned according to the schedule.
m. Reports any barriers (safety or efficiencies) immediately to the maintenance gatekeeper, area engineer or maintenance superintendent.
6. Maintains HSSE and Technical site rating score database for each service contractor
a. Ensures contractors meet a minimum site rating score (both HSSE and technical) before allowing work at the site.
b. Ensures contractors have an acceptable rating within ISNetWorld before allowing work at the site.
c. Notifies site personnel immediately when a contractor falls below the minimum site rating score for HSSE, technical or in ISNetworld.
7. Does NOT schedule or provide services for projects outside of routine maintenance.
8. Responds to afterhours emergency needs as needed by the plant for services.
