Albion College invites applications for The Assistant Director of Philanthropy position. The Assistant Director of Philanthropy will guide and manage engagement strategies to identify, cultivate, solicit and steward prospective donors capable of making gifts of $10,000 - $49,000 to Albion College, with a focus on presidential priorities. The Assistant Director will oversee the implementation of strategies to increase overall cash production and gifts across the Albion College constituencies. They will be a key player in the implementation of best practices, relationship building with internal and external partners, and maintaining the highest comprehensive approach to strengthen the culture of philanthropy on campus and beyond with integrity. Must possess excellent interpersonal, communications, analytical and organizational skills, and ability to prioritize and execute responsibilities in the face of conflicting priorities. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, and organize a diversified workload with sensitivity and confidentiality. This position reports to the Assistant Vice President for Advancement. The person in this position will actively promote diversity, belonging and equity in all of their interactions with others on campus, especially historically marginalized students, faculty, and staff (e.g., those who are historically marginalized, first-generation, undocumented and DACA, LGBTQIA , BIPOC).

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required;
- 2 or more years related experience in sales, philanthropy, recruitment, community outreach or related fields
- Confidence and experience with “first contact and cold call” communication required to expand the engaged prospect pool on a weekly, monthly and annual basis
