Tax Preparer

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Tax Preparer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and filing tax returns for individuals and businesses, ensuring compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Analyze financial information and ensure accuracy in tax calculations.
• Collaborate with clients to gather necessary documentation and provide guidance on tax-related matters.
• Utilize accounting software, including QuickBooks, to manage client accounts effectively.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations to provide accurate advice.
• Assist in resolving any discrepancies or issues that arise during the tax preparation process.
• Perform clerical duties related to tax preparation, including 10 key typing for data entry tasks.

Skills

• Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software is essential.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Experience in corporate accounting or public accounting is preferred.
• Excellent collaboration skills to work effectively with clients and team members.
• Familiarity with technical accounting principles related to taxation.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
