What are the responsibilities and job description for the Faculty of Business Accounting and Economics position at Albright College?
Albright College is seeking application for a full-time faculty position to begin in August of 2025. The successful candidate should be academically or professionally qualified to teach courses for the Department of Business, Accounting, and Economics. Potential courses include introductory/advanced courses in Economics, Business Analytics, and Finance and a possible International Business course. Possessing advanced Financial Certification is a plus.
The teaching load consists of eight courses per academic year (4 Fall/4 Spring). This position will teach undergraduate courses in Business, Accounting & Economics for residential students and online programs. Responsibilities:
The expectation is that the successful applicant will use traditional, hybrid, and online delivery methods as needed, and teaching assignments may require teaching day, evening as needed
Additional responsibilities include:
Advise students and provide career guidance
Participate in campus, university, and community service activities
Collaborate in the recruitment and retention of business students
Participation in professional organizations and in course development
Engaging in scholarly, professional development and activities to stay current in the discipline is also expected
Qualifications: Successful candidate should have earned a master's degree in economics, finance, or a closely related field at a minimum to be considered.
Commitment to high-quality instruction in a student-centered environment is expected. Interest in active and collaborative learning, the instructional use of technology, and hybrid and online teaching is an advantage. Significant industry and prior college-level teaching experience preferred. Demonstrated ability to work in a collegial environment with faculty and administration is required. Enthusiasm for working in a multidisciplinary environment is important.
