The Department of Art, Game and Simulation Development, and Computer Science at Albright College invites applications for a full-time Open Rank / Professor of Practice position in Computer Science. We seek an innovative and passionate educator to help shape and grow our interdisciplinary programs, particularly our Game and Simulation Development offerings.
About Albright College: Albright College, located in Reading, Pennsylvania, is a small, liberal arts institution dedicated to providing students with a diverse and comprehensive education. Our unique curriculum encourages students to pursue co-majors, allowing them to combine half of a computer science major with another area of interest. This flexibility fosters interdisciplinary thinking and equips students for dynamic, real-world problem-solving.
Position Overview: We are seeking a candidate with a strong foundation in computer science and a passion for game and simulation development. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in advancing our Game and Simulation Development program and contribute to core computer science courses. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape a growing program at the intersection of technology, art, and creativity.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field. Candidates with a Master's degree and significant industry experience will also be considered.
Demonstrated knowledge and teaching experience in Python, C , C#, and other relevant programming languages.
Expertise in Game and Simulation Development, including gaming physics and mathematics.
Experience teaching foundational computer science courses such as Algorithm Design and Analysis, Discrete Structures, and Computing Principles.
