Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Membership Director to lead our membership initiatives and drive growth within our organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for fostering relationships with members while enhancing their overall experience. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in sales, account management, and customer service to effectively promote our offerings and expand our member base.
Duties
- Maintain the club's database of member files.
- Conduct tours for prospective members and orientation for new members.
- Promotes club activities using direct mail, newsletter, website & social media.
- Plans and holds prospective member functions.
- Ensure regular communication with existing members regarding club activities and membership matters.
- Conduct exit interviews for resigning members and propose alternative membership options.
- Process new member applications, status changes, resignations, and payment schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of membership files and tracking reports.
- Prepare monthly membership reports for the board of directors and management.

- Collaborate with management to implement campaigns that align with budget requirements.
- Create membership marketing plans, collateral materials, and public relations strategies to enhance the club’s visibility.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to increase membership growth and retention.
- Engage in outside sales activities to attract new members through networking, events, and outreach.
- Conduct market research to identify potential member demographics and tailor strategies accordingly.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing member inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Responsible for maintaining confidentiality of all member information.
- Completes other appropriate assignments made by the General Manager.
Requirements
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Strong background in technical sales, outside sales, or business development.
- Demonstrated experience in account management with a focus on building long-term relationships.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences effectively.
- Proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM software for managing memberships and tracking sales activities.
- A customer-centric approach with a commitment to enhancing member satisfaction.
- Ability to analyze market trends and adapt strategies accordingly.
