AHCH provides a distinctive continuum of integrated care through outreach and site-based services to address the health-related causes and consequences of homelessness. We have an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to fill our Human Resources Generalist position! The Human Resources (HR) Generalist is responsible for the day-to-day HR administrative process and function at AHCH. This position reports to the HR Coordinator and works with a team of four HR staff to provide comprehensive human resources support to over 100 employees.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee licensing, credentialing, and privileging process
- May attend interviews as needed
- Administer employee benefits
- Maintain employee files
- Schedule meetings and interviews
- Assist Human Resources Coordinator and Chief Human Resources Officer with trainings
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations
- Provide oversight of employee benefits enrollment/disenrollment processes including aspects that intersect with Finance
- Maintain and oversee employee data in Human Resource Information System (HRIS) to ensure
accuracy and quality - Track and maintain staff databases outside of HRIS including training, required vaccines/medical tests, and benefits enrollment
- Must comply with all AHCH policies and procedures
Minimum Qualifications:
- BA in Human Resources or related field or equivalent work experience
- One year experience in general administrative assistance and/or human resources
- Ability to thrive in a complex non-profit healthcare setting
- Strong interpersonal communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to effectively communicate HR processes to employees
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years of HR-specific Generalist or Administrative work experience
- Experience with clinical credentialing and privileging
- SHRM or HRCI certification
