What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Behavioral Health Clinician position at Albuquerque Health Care for the Homeless?

AHCH provides a distinctive continuum of integrated care through outreach and site-based services to address the health-related causes and consequences of homelessness. This person will be responsible for providing clinical supervision to Behavioral Health therapists and interns. They will develop and present Behavioral Health training for internal AHCH staff and community partners. This position will also provide Behavioral Health therapy and crisis intervention for individuals and groups. The person will also conduct Behavioral Health assessments including those required for the Comprehensive Community Support Services (CCSS) program.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group clinical supervision for Behavioral Health therapists and interns
- Provide individual and/or group therapy to a limited number of behavioral health clients
- Work collaboratively with other departments and serve as a BH resource to staff
- Develop and provide Behavioral Health trainings for AHCH staff and community partners
- Coordinate and supervise volunteer and intern students in the Behavioral Health program
- Participate in development of dual/multiple diagnosis didactic groups
- Attend meetings as required
- Participate in Behavioral Health peer review
- Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities within agency
- Comply with all AHCH policies and procedures
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or any comparable discipline
- Licensed or eligible for license in New Mexico with LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT
- Experience and knowledge of behavioral health, substance abuse, co-occurring disorders, and trauma
- Valid NM Driver's License
- Previous work with people experiencing homelessness or other under-served populations
- Able to prioritize in a fluid environment
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time and focus on details
- Ability to deal with chaotic and noisy environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two years of experience working as a Behavioral Health therapist to under-served populations
- Experience working at an FQHC or community health organization
- Familiarity of harm reduction and trauma informed care models
- Previous experience working within an integrated/cross-disciplinary environment
- Bilingual in Spanish/English

Salary : $67,000 - $74,200
