Violin Teacher

Job Description:
The role of the Violin Teacher at Albuquerque Institute of Music is to provide quality instruction to ensure that students are prepared for success in the future. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and creating, enjoys working with children (and adults), as well as a drive to learn and grow personally.
Expectations:
- Provide individualized instruction to each student that is tailored to meet each student’s individual needs and goals
- Incorporate practical and theoretical music pieces and exercises; prepare students to perform in recitals/competitions/festivals/other performance opportunities; share the love and appreciation for music, and other activities designed to build self-esteem and develop students' skills
- Maintain a professional working relationship with teachers, students, parents, staff members, and community partners
- Provide consistent weekly instruction for students.
Position Requirements:
- Must be able to teach in-person at our school (10-20 hours per week)
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must pass pre-employment background check
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
