What are the responsibilities and job description for the SITE SUPERVISOR ELEMENTARY SCHOOL position at Albuquerque Public Schools?
SUMMARY: To plan, organize and directs the operation of all programs that are at location or provided to offsite location. This includes breakfast, lunch, snack, dinner, ala carte, snack bars and any other programs at the site.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Incumbent must achieve the following outcomes with or without reasonable accommodation:
- Plans and prepares meals using 2 menu options for breakfast and 3 menu options for lunch.
- Requisitions food and supplies from FANS warehouse and outside vendors in accordance with department/state/federal specifications and polices.
- Receives goods verifying quality, safety integrity of products.
- Schedules, assigns and direct work assignments of employees.
- Supervises and participates in the preparation of all food items, maintains quality, safety and nutrient values of all items, ensures compliance of the program.
- Supervises and evaluates assigned employees (1-4) based on site.
- Trains, instructs and assists employees as needed.
- Adheres and monitors meal program regulations and meal pattern requirements based on each programs regulations.
- Upholds and maintains standards of safety, sanitation and personal hygiene.
- Controls programs to assure compliance with district, state, federal and Environmental Health regulations.
- Enters and maintain all required reports in computer program including: cash report, daily production records for each program, deposits, food usage, perpetual and physical inventories.
- Deposits cash and checks daily
- Follows and enforces district and FANS policies.
- Verifies staff payroll in computer daily.
- Provides customer service with students, parents, school staff, and administration.
- Maintains 10 hours of CEUs required by USDA for professional development.
- Maintains confidential student information
DUTIES: In addition to the essential functions of this job, the incumbent must perform the following duties:
- Complies with state-approved Code of Ethics of the Education Profession and upholds and enforces rules, administrative directives and regulations, school board policies, and local, state and federal regulations.
- Articulates and facilitates the implementation of the mission and values of the Albuquerque Public Schools.
- Safeguards confidentiality of privileged information.
- Prepares and maintains accurate and complete records and reports as required by law, state directives, District policy and administrative regulations.
- Shares the responsibility for the supervision and care of District inventory, proper and safe use of facilities, equipment and supplies, and reports safety hazards promptly.
- Maintains professional relationships and works cooperatively with employees, the community and other professionals.
- Maintains professional competence through individual and staff training, in-service educational activities and self-selected professional growth activities.
- Attends and/or conducts staff meetings and participates on committees within area of responsibility.
- Performs other tasks related to area of responsibilities as requested or assigned by an immediate supervisor.
PREFERED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

- Knowledge of employees Albuquerque Public Schools CWA negotiated agreement.
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Serve Safe, ANSI or Equivalent Approved Certification
- Successful completion of APS Food & Nutrition Manager Class.
- Two years of experience in food service.
- Skills in following written formulas, directions, recipes, and related cooking instructions.
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relations with diverse backgrounds including co-workers, vendors, students, parent and general public.
- Computer/keyboard skills with variety of software applications including Smartfind (substitute system)
- Communication skills both verbal and written.
- Food preparation, basic nutrition, equipment usage.
- Ability to fully understand HACCP (Hazard analysis Critical Control Points) to ensure food safety
