What are the responsibilities and job description for the TEACHER SUMMER READING ENRICHMENT PROGRAM position at Albuquerque Public Schools?

Enrichment teachers will work in teams of 5 to 10 teachers to deploy created PBL/SEL aligned with standards. Teacher teams will engage students in hands-on enrichment activities for approximately 2 hours a day. One school would be morning enrichment and another afternoon enrichment session.
Serving outgoing students in grades Pre-K through 8th grade general education and ELL students. The Enrichment is NOT based on a remediation model, but a high interest, hands-on Enrichment providing opportunity. The program uses precreated lessons aligned with standards and differentiated instruction.
Delegation Training
All teachers must have the correct license/endorsement/credential on file with APS HR prior to working this program.
There will be teacher training for the curriculum prior to the start of the program. Teachers who apply for these summer job opportunities must be willing to collaborate as a team, using hands-on project-based lessons for students, as well as provide differentiated activities that support the needs of individual students. Teachers must be willing to be outside during the enrichment hours and help organize extended enrichment activities.
