Job Overview
We are seeking a Licensed Massage Therapist to join our educational team as a passionate and dedicated Lead Instructor. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment. As a Lead Instructor, you will be responsible for guiding students through their educational journey, developing curriculum, and mentoring fellow instructors. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our programs meet the highest standards of excellence. Ability to teach foundational massage modalities and knowledge of Anatomy, Kinesiology, Physiology and Pathology required.
Duties
- Implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
- Lead classroom instruction and facilitate discussions and hands- on learning.
- Manage classroom technology
- Willingness to work within set guidelines and to utilize specific resources
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
- Mentor and support junior instructors, providing guidance on teaching strategies and classroom management.
- Collaborate with other educators.
- Maintain a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and success.
- Maintain active communication with school administration.
- Track student attendance and make-up work
- Evaluate hands on skills and provide constructive feedback.
Requirements
- Must have an active and current Massage License in the State of New Mexico for at least 2 years.
- Ability to teach foundational massage modalities
- Knowledge of Anatomy, Kinesiology, Physiology and Pathology as applies to the profession of Massage Therapy
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage students effectively and the ability to correspond with school administration in a timely fashion.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks .
- A passion for education and a commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and school directors and contribute positively to the team dynamic.
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $25.00 - $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 9 – 12 per week
