What are the responsibilities and job description for the Speech Language Pathologist position at Albuquerque Speech Language Hearing Center?
About Us
Albuquerque Speech Language Hearing Center is searching for an SLP (CCC). While full-time is preferred, part-time is also an option. We serve a diverse population of both pediatric and adult patients. The paperwork load is much lower than in the schools. Scheduling and patient intake is done for you, and your salary is set so that you are paid the same whether patients show up. A planning/report period is scheduled daily to give you time to focus on giving patients the best possible treatment! Full-time hours are Monday through Thursday, and there is a half-day option on Friday, with no weekends or holidays.
"ASLHC is an ideal job for me. Working at a nonprofit gives an incredible opportunity to help those who may not otherwise be able to afford private speech therapy. I see a diverse patient population that has allowed me to grow professionally as I’ve learned how to better serve people of all ages with a wide range of speech, language, and hearing concerns. In this job, I have more planning and report time than I’ve had in the past which ensures patients are getting high-quality speech therapy. The day-to-day support from other SLPs and office staff is priceless. Watching patients say their first word, learn strategies to improve their communication, and find their voice is the most rewarding part of my job and I wouldn’t trade for anything! ASLHC is a family that works together to give patients quality speech therapy and audiology services."
