Responsibilities:
- Collect KPI data points based on established procedures.
- Monitor reporting sheets and communicate concerns to clients and a leadership team.
- Strong customer service skills, capable of providing a 5-star customer experience.
- Guiding and supporting the team on day-to-day operations.
- Train new staff and provide continuing learning opportunities to established team members.
- Ability to think critically, make well-reasoned decisions, and work with sometimes incomplete datasets.
- Willingness and ability to empathize with clients and team members, prioritizing human safety, followed by animal health and safety.
- Communicate with clients when/if safety priorities conflict with client expectations.
- As needed, perform dog daycare attendant responsibilities (cleaning, feeding, medicating, and caring for dogs and cats visiting or boarding at the resort).
Compensation:
$21 - $25 / hourly (starting wage is depending on experience)

Requirements:
Assistant Managers should have the following availability, skills, education, and experience:
- Our next Assistant Manager will ideally work Tuesday to Saturday.
- The Assistant Manager must be flexible based on our staffing needs, as we fill in gaps when staff is unavailable.
- We normally schedule one weekend day / one weekday day off. This role is scheduled for 40 hours weekly.
- We strongly prefer a candidate with previous boarding/kennel experience.
- We also would prefer a candidate with previous staff management experience.
- We can teach candidates with leadership skills the nuances of kennel management.
- Proven team players. Assistant Managers will step in when our daycare staff needs additional support.
- Excellent understanding of canine behavior, body language, and group play behavior.
- Strong communication skills, working closely with the training department to ensure a safe and positive environment.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable with all breeds and sizes of dogs (we have no breed restrictions).
- Awareness and vigilance are critical skills in this role. You may be monitoring up to 30 dogs simultaneously, ensuring safe, monitored play.
- Must be able to be on your feet for up to 4 hours, safely lift 50lbs unassisted, and be comfortable rolling up your sleeves and getting dirty.
