Job Details:

• Positions Available: Part-Time or Full-Time Pet Technicians
• Shift Hours: Daytime shifts from 8 AM to 5 PM or 9 AM to 6 PM
• This role will require availability on weekends and holidays. 
• No temporary positions are available; we seek long-term, permanent people to work with our pets in all four seasons.
• Location: 1273 Crest Drive, Encinitas, CA 92024

What You’ll Do:

As a Pet Technician, you’ll play a crucial role in the daily care of our canine guests, ensuring they are safe, happy, and healthy. Your responsibilities will include:

• Walking dogs to and from outdoor exercise areas.
• Engaging pets in fun play activities.
• Distributing food and clean water as per instructions.
• Maintaining cleanliness by sanitizing enclosures, yards, and common areas.
• Reporting any health or behavior concerns to supervisors.

What We’re Looking For:

• We prefer candidates with at least one year of professional or volunteer dog care experience.
• Candidates with prior personal experience caring for pets and a desire to learn and improve their skill set are encouraged to apply. 
• We strongly prefer individuals with experience in group dog environments, such as daycare or a dog park. 
• Candidates who can work without direct supervision and practice critical thinking.

• This is a physical role. We work on our feet for all of our shifts, both indoors and outdoors. 
• Staff must remain attentive and follow company safety protocols at all times. 
• We work with a wide variety of dogs and cats. Staff must be comfortable caring for different breed types, ages, and temperaments. 

Compensation:

$18 - $21 / hourly (starting wage is depending on experience)
$1200 - $3400 / monthly

Full-time or part-time work is available. Expected hours: 16 – 30 per week. Some staff members may work up to 40 hours per week.
