A few things you’ll focus on as a Customer Service Receptionist:
Provide the highest level of customer service to patients, fellow employees and referral sources through the coordination and administration of the “front office” activities. Front office activities include, but not limited to, scheduling patients for appointments, greeting patients as they come into one of our locations, answer telephone calls, fit patients with some off-the-shelf medical products and conduct retail sales.
Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for answering all incoming calls
Provide the highest level of customer service to patients, fellow employees and referral sources.
Maintain accurate and complete patient files, ensure that they follow Alcam’s Compliance Policies.
Ensure the privacy and security of protected health information per HIPAA requirements.
Perform other duties or special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
Strong interpersonal, oral (including telephone) and written communication skills.
Ability to key 45 words per minute with accuracy preferred.
Ability to work with handicapped individuals.
Understanding of medical reimbursement and terminology and a complete understanding of general office duties.
Proficient computer skills including Windows based office technologies (ex. Word, Excel), e-mail and automated billing systems.
Ability to use all necessary office equipment, facsimile machines, calculator, postage machine, copiers, etc.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
Proficiency with basic math and accounting skills.
Ability to follow written and verbal directions.
Ability to discern individual needs of patient.
Ability to work effectively as a team member.
