What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeping and Laundry Services position at Alcester Care and Rehab Center?
Responsible for cleanliness throughout the entire care center which consists of resident rooms, administrative offices, therapy, dining areas and other designated areas. Cleans, vacuums, dusts, mops and washes rooms, hallways and equipment throughout the entire care center. Follows infection control and sanitary measures as set forth by state and federal regulations and facility policy and procedures.
Essential Duties:
Cleanliness of the facility.
Follow all safety and infection control policy and procedures.
Complete all required cleaning schedules/ checklists.
Attend required in-services per schedule.
Other duties as assigned.
Keep all knowledge of residents confidential.
Working Conditions:
Must be in good mental and physical condition.
Ability to perform heavy lifting and repetitive tasks on a continuous basis.
Sits, stands, bends, stoops, and walks intermittently during the work day.
Qualifications:
Ability and the willingness to cooperate with residents schedules and other departments.
Provide privacy and dignity to residents.
Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm.
Able to follow oral and written instructions in detail.
Be 16 years of age or older.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 40 per week
