Job Overview :
The Compliance Assistant will support the Director of Compliance in ensuring that all compliance activities, documentation and projects are completed accurately and on time. This role will involve assisting with documentation, audits, training, and communication with internal departments to maintain regulatory compliance. The company is a startup; and, as such, employees are expected to take on additional responsibilities, in addition to their initial job duties, on an as-needed basis, while keeping on target for any initial job duties outlined.
Responsibilities :
- Assists with monthly reconciliation of inventory and maintaining accurate records.
- Support the Director of Compliance with preparing METRC inputs, creating manifests, and maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Assist with general compliance testing requirements
- Support Compliance Director and production teams with creation and management of Work Orders. Conduct regular internal compliance audits (fire extinguishers, inventory, etc.)
- Facilitate accurate production of variable labels for clients' packaging
- Assist with document filing and retention to ensure accurate compliance recordkeeping.
- Review, evaluate, and maintain vendors' / customers' documentation related to compliance
- Perform general administrative duties, including data entry and file management
- Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information
- Other duties as assigned
