Summary
We are seeking a Peer Support Specialist to join our team at Alcohol & Drug Services. In this role, you will support clinical staff with clerical duties, perform triage, and do outreach to the community for services. Teach, model, and support the skills and coping mechanisms for ongoing treatment and recovery while performing as an advocate for consumers
Responsibilities
- Provide clerical support, conduct follow-up and meeting reminders with clients via phone and e-mail. Assist with scheduling, as needed.
- Provide case management services and linkage to community resources. Promote ADS services in the community
- Perform triage and refer information to the clinical team for placement.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create individualized treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions and progress notes.
- Assist in designated groups for consumers. Model recovery values, attitudes, beliefs, and personal action to encourage wellness. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent with a Peer Support Specialist Certificate
- Strong crisis intervention skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective client interaction.

Pay: $17.67 - $18.75 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
