The duties that the incumbent of the vacancy will be expected to perform. Duties Description The incumbent will report to the Deputy Commissioner for Operations and perform professional functions to ensure that agency projects and executive initiatives are successfully accomplished within required timeframes. Duties will include, but are not limited to the following: • Direct and manage agency projects by conducting research, developing implementation strategies, providing oversight, implementing policies and procedures, and offering recommendations to program staff to resolve issues and ensure project timelines are met.• Provide strategic direction for projects by developing short- and long-term project goals and developing timelines for implementation.• Perform research and analysis for the assigned program area; and prepare reports for use by executive management.• Perform special studies to support the development and implementation of programs to move government forward.• Develop and maintain partnerships with internal and external entities. Meet with outside stakeholders to discuss program and projects.• Identify barriers to the success of projects and propose and implement solutions.• Serve as a consultant to executive management on projects and programs. The incumbent will provide status updates to executive staff. • Assist in reviewing and optimizing workflow processes with program staff to improve efficiency while ensure compliance with internal controls.• Support the development, maintenance, and dissemination of agency policies and procedures, ensuring they are up to date and accessible to staff.• Represent the agency in inter-agency projects and collaborative initiatives, including those related to operational improvements.• Attend and participate in meetings with external stakeholders, agencies, and organizations on behalf of the agency.• Collaborate with executive leadership to support the agency’s operational strategies, policies, and procedures.• Assist in the development of training materials related to the agency’s technology systems and operational processes.• Analyze data for operational decision-making.• Prepare executive level reports, including but not limited to licensing and disciplinary revenue reports for DOB and other agency functions.• Other duties as necessary/assigned.

Minimum Qualifications A bachelor’s degree and six years of relevant experience*.*Substitutions: four years of specialized experience or an associate’s degree and two years of specialized experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree; J.D. or master’s degree may substitute for one year of specialized experience; Ph.D. may substitute for two years of specialized experience.
