Role and Responsibilities              

• Place flasks onto patterns using a hoist.
• Sifts sand over pattern and compacts sand around pattern contours.
• Shovel and pack sand into flasks using tools such as a ramrod.
• Use a hoist to position the flask onto the pallet, remove the pattern flask by hand.
• Assist in other areas and departments as needed.

Qualifications & Physical Demands

• Ability to apply sound judgment and understanding to carry out one-to-two-step instructions.
• Capacity to deal with standardized situations.
• Molders are regularly required to stand 100% of their shift and frequently required to walk.
• Uses all of their upper (i.e., hands, arms, etc.) to complete molds.
• The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as hearing protection, steel toe metatarsal shoes/boots, & safety glasses must be worn while on the production floor and performing this role.
