As a UX Researcher supporting Digital Health Team, you will be responsible for design and development of engaging user experiences for a variety of applications. Studies and evaluates attributes of how users feel about a system; tracking metrics such as ease of use, perception of the value of the system, utility, efficiency in performing tasks, etc. Identifies and translates user needs and business requirements into features and functionality for web/mobile experiences. Develops task and process flows, current-state journey maps, personas, empathy maps, to effectively conceptualize and communicate findings. Proficient in modern research tools (e.g., Dovetail, Maze, FigJam, Usertesting.com, R, SurveyMonkey).
In this role, a typical day will include:
- Work closely with product teams to clearly articulate problem statement, assumptions and decisions impacted by the research
- Recommend appropriate set of methodologies (quant and qual) in context of the timeline and align key product and design stakeholders
- Create UX research roadmaps in collaboration with product team for continuous improvement across the product.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment that thrives on delivering value to our customers.
- Be the voice-of-the-user on your team, working in conjunction with UX/UI designers and Product Owners. Ensure that the products we deliver effectively solve the customers' problems while meeting commercial goals.
- Write comprehensive and well-documented research findings that deliver meaningful and actionable insights (in form of micro insights and/or summary presentations) for internal consumption.
- Conduct competitor and exemplar analysis.
- Help refine coding strategy, manage and expand research repository and enable insights sharing across product teams.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school 13 yrs; Assoc. 9 yrs; M.S. 2 yrs; PhD 0 yrs)
- 5 Years of Relevant Experience
- The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
- Travel requirements: up to 40%
