Software Development Engineer in Test (Senior Level) Baltimore, Maryland

Job Summary : Alcor is looking for a skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development and a passion for quality assurance. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test frameworks and ensuring the reliability and performance of our software applications.Key Responsibilities : Test Automation Development : Design, implement, and maintain automated test scripts like Selenium, JUnit, TestingFramework Development : Create and enhance test frameworks to support continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI / CD) pipelines.Collaboration : Work closely with software engineers, product managers, and QA teams to understand requirements and provide feedback on design and architecture.Test Planning : Develop comprehensive test plans and strategies to ensure quality standards are met for new and existing features.Defect Management : Identify, document, and track defects using tracking tools like JIRA, Bugzilla and ensure timely resolution.Performance Testing : Conduct performance and load testing to ensure system scalability and reliability.Code Review : Participate in code reviews to ensure best practices in testing and software development.Documentation : Create and maintain test documentation, including test cases, test scripts, and reports.Continuous Improvement : Stay current with industry trends and technologies to improve testing processes and tools.Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.7 to 10 years of experience in software development and testing, preferably in an SDET role.Strong programming skills in languages like Java, C#, Python.Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks like Selenium, Cucumber, Appium.Familiarity with CI / CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI.Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong communication and teamwork abilities.Preferred Qualifications : Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter, LoadRunner.Knowledge of API testing and tools like Postman, SoapUI.Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure and microservices architecture.#J-18808-Ljbffr
