- Experience in developing and implementing community engagement strategies.
- Proficient in computer skills, with the ability to research, collect, and analyze data, and prepare reports related to community engagement activities.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse community stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to plan, organize, and execute community engagement programs and events.
- Serves as the primary staff assistant to the Director of Economic Development & Community Engagement
- Assists with the development and execution of outreach strategies to engage with community members, businesses, and organizations
- Represents the University at community events, meetings, and activities to build relationships and promote collaboration
- Travels to community events and meetings
- Works as needs in activities and events on evenings and weekends
- Identifies and establishes partnerships with local businesses, government agencies, and non-profit organizations to support economic development and community initiatives
- Collaborates with internal departments to align university resources with community needs
- Plans and oversees community engagement programs, workshops, and events to address the needs and interests of the communities
- Collects, analyzes, and reports data related to community engagement activities, providing recommendations for future initiatives
- Works closely with university faculty, staff, and students to integrate community engagement into academic and research initiatives
- Bachelor’s degree in business, community development, urban planning, or related field.
- Two years of relevant experience.
