The Graduate Assistant - Goalkeeper Coach will assist the Head Coach and coaching staff in the training and development of goalkeepers for the NCAA Division I Women's Soccer team. This position offers a unique opportunity for a recent graduate to gain hands-on coaching experience while pursuing graduate studies.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in planning and conducting training sessions with a focus on goalkeeper-specific drills, technique, and development.
Provide individual coaching and feedback to goalkeepers to improve their technical, tactical, and mental performance.
Assist in video analysis of goalkeeper performance, helping to identify areas of improvement.
Support game-day preparation, including pre-game goalkeeper warm-ups and game strategies.
Help with the overall coaching and development of the team during practices, matches, and events.
Aid in administrative tasks such as team scheduling, travel arrangements, and compliance with NCAA regulations.
Maintain strong communication with goalkeepers to track their academic and athletic progress.
Uphold and enforce NCAA rules and regulations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required, with acceptance into the university's graduate program.
Playing experience as a goalkeeper at the collegiate or higher competitive level is preferred.
Previous playing or coaching experience, particularly with goalkeepers or in a goalkeeper role
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
A passion for coaching and player development, with a focus on the goalkeeper position.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and manage multiple tasks.
A commitment to the academic and athletic success of student-athletes.
Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations is preferred but not required.
Additional Information:
This is a part-time position that includes a tuition, accommodation and meals assistance only.
The Graduate Assistant will work closely with the coaching staff, athletes, and athletic department to support both the competitive and academic goals of the team.
