The employee/student will assist the research office staff with preparation of research projects and reports, manuscripts, and presentations; copying documents; preparing tables, graphs, fact sheets, and written reports. The student will assist faculty members with descriptive, exploratory or experimental research; publication activities, data collection, data management and/or data analysis. The student will work under the direct supervision of the research administrative assistant.
Strong attention to detail
Skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
Knowledge of basic descriptive and inferential statistics preferred.
Outstanding interpersonal, oral and written communications skills.

Prepare, manipulate, and manage extensive databases.
Facilitate gathering of materials and data for various projects and reports; write summaries of project findings as requested.
Provide assistance with the preparation of project-related reports, manuscripts, and presentations.
Obtain informed consent of research subjects.
Perform qualitative analysis and/or quantitative analyses of data, using computer software as applicable.
Verify the accuracy and validity of data entered in databases; correct any errors.
Prepare tables, graphs, fact sheets, and written reports summarizing research results.
Edit and submit protocols and other required research documentation.
Develop and implement research quality control procedures.
Research topical areas as requested including the completion of comprehensive literature and web searches.
The candidate must be actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree. The individual must possess a strong vocabulary; be fluent in English, spelling, punctuation, and nuances of the English language; be proficient in computer operation; and must possess knowledge of care and operation of modern office practices, procedures and operations of commonly used office equipment; and must be able to maintain confidentiality. Must be familiar with laboratory and standard laboratory practices.
