What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pediatric Physical Therapist position at Alcott School?
Alcott School began in 1968 as a Montessori preschool. We have grown to include Montessori toddlers, a preschool special education program, a preschool integrated program, and an Early Intervention Toddler Development Group for toddlers with special needs. The mission of all our programs is to provide each child with the opportunity to develop independence, and awareness of their own abilities, and a feeling of self-worth. Our holistic approach to learning is based on the belief that children learn best in a social environment that supports their unique development.
This is a full-time, on-site role for a New York State Licensed Physical Therapist. Our physical therapists work in our physical therapy space, in the school gym, on the playground, and throughout the school building. We are seeking a professional to join our cohesive multidisciplinary team in providing high quality physical therapy services in collaboration with occupational therapy, speech therapy, counseling, and special education per each child's IEP or IFSP. Additionally, we are seeking a professional to share the roll of Related Services Coordinator.
We generally follow a local school district calendar, with hours being 8:30 - 4:00.
