Alcrete is a manufacturer of precast concrete products used in new construction. The company’s products include Round Precast, Square Precast, Precast Box Culverts, Underground Detention Systems, and End Treatments. Alcrete’s products are primarily for the movement of stormwater and wastewater and purchased by excavating, utility, grading, and site contractors.
Alcrete operates from precast manufacturing facilities located in Alabama, Florida, Kentucky, and North Carolina with a corporate office in Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois.
Position Overview
The role of the Plant Manager at Alcrete is to oversee and lead all manufacturing aspects of the company. Specific focus will be on safety, team member development, efficiency, quality, and plant profitability. The Plant Manager reports directly to the site’s General Manager.
Location: Jacksonville, North Carolina
Responsibilities
- Leading a safety focused culture striving for zero safety accidents.
- Development and retention of production, quality, and maintenance personnel.
- Treating all plant personnel with dignity and respect.
- Establishing plant efficiency goals and leading a culture focused on lean manufacturing.
- Ensuring product quality including elimination of internally culled structures and customer quality concerns.
- Implementing a preventive maintenance program for all company equipment and assets.
- Communicating with Project Managers to ensure the plant has the necessary personnel and production resources to efficiently complete the scheduled production requirements.
- Review of monthly financial statements to understand opportunities for cost and margin improvement.
- Maintaining a clean and organized facility that aligns with company 5S standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing plant environment.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Financial and business acumen.
- Experience with precast concrete is a plus.
