Alden Laurel is immediately hiring a Senior Crew lead for the 2025 season.
This is a full-time seasonal position. Our season runs mid March through early December.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Crew Lead to join our Fine Gardening division. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fine gardening, along with excellent leadership and organizational skills. As the Crew Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing a crew of skilled gardeners. This is a full-time position, requiring 40 hours per week commitment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of gardeners in performing landscape maintenance and installation tasks.
- Ensure work is done to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
- Train team members on proper techniques, tools, and safety procedures.
- Perform hands-on gardening tasks including pruning, weeding, mulching, raking, and general maintenance.
- Operate and maintain landscaping equipment (e.g., blowers, hedge trimmers, mowers).
- Keep job sites, company vehicles, and tools organized and well-maintained.
- Maintain a positive and productive team atmosphere while working on-site.
- Communicate with the Operations Manager to report project status and any challenges.
Required Experience & Skills:
- At least 3 years of experience in landscaping, gardening, or related fields.
- Experience leading or supervising a small team on job sites.
- Strong knowledge of landscaping techniques and organic gardening practices.
- Ability to work independently and problem-solve in the field.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
