Job description
A boutique plaintiff-side employment and labor law firm seeks a full-time Paralegal to join our team. A successful candidate will provide support to a team of six or more attorneys and will have extensive client contact (primarily via phone and Zoom / Teams). This position entails a mix of substantive legal work and some administrative duties.

Alden Law Group, PLLC is a nationally recognized civil rights, employment and labor law firm located in downtown Washington, D.C. We handle fast-paced and exciting litigation on behalf of federal employees around the country, as well as private-sector workers in DC, Maryland, and Virginia. Many of our cases challenge employment harassment, whistleblower reprisal, wrongful termination, and other unjust employment practices. Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a team of 6 attorneys in litigation firm;
- Extensive client contact, including participation in initial consultations;
- Assist clients and attorneys with assembling evidence and affidavits in support of their claims;
- Analyze legal issues and conduct legal research under federal and state anti-discrimination laws;
- Development of evidence, helping clients with affidavits and discovery responses, evaluating and processing discovery responses;
- Assembling and analyzing medical records;
- Review investigative reports, testimonies, interviews, files, and documents for employment matters such as discrimination, whistleblowing reprisal, and wrongful termination;
- Provide litigation support to attorneys during deposition and trial by handling exhibits, taking notes, reviewing trial transcripts, and scheduling witness interviews, meetings, depositions, and other proceedings.
- Prepare fee summaries;
- Electronically file in federal administrative cases with appropriate certificate of service;

We are located in downtown Washington, DC. The expected salary range for this position is between $24 - $34 / hour commensurate with experience.
