Q.C. Lab Technician
Job Description
As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of water products produced. The position requires a hands-on approach as you will be involved in various quality assurance activities, including monitoring product quality, performing microbiological testing, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The role requires the ability to have a strong understanding of water treatment processes, microbiological techniques and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve quality issues effectively. You will be responsible for pulling required samples for microbiological testing, required hourly line checks and all documentation according to all SOP’s. This role is essential in maintaining high standards of quality to ensure Alder Creek Beverages continues to deliver safe quality water to its customers.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
-Working affectively with team members to maintain and support Quality goals.
-Comply with all sanitation and hygiene standards and keep work area clean.
-Monitoring product quality on shift through line releases, water chemistry checks, and packaging verification checks.
-Production and downtime tracking, analyzing data as needed.
-Product batching and batch tracking as trained
-Calibrating, measuring and monitoring equipment such as ozone sensors, meters for pH, conductivity, and turbidity.
-Line monitoring and confirmation of all Quality standards.
-Assist in Sanitation procedures as necessary.
-Support continuous improvement plans and work safely to ensure the safety of yourself and other.
Qualifications:
-College level education or equivalent experience desired but not required, relevant pursuit of study in a related area a plus
-Prior experience performing basic lab activities
-Ability to work self-directed and with a team with solid communication and interpersonal skills
-Computer skills with ability to use Microsoft Office applications.
-Ability to learn and understand Good Manufacturing Practices and HAACP principles is necessary
-Ability to focus on work place safety, high quality while performing duties with a sense of urgency
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.50 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 – 45 per week
