POSITION SUMMARY
As the Front Desk Lead, you’ll be the face of our front desk, creating warm and lasting first impressions when guests arrive and a friendly farewell as they depart. You'll help guide the Guest Service Agents and hold down the fort in the absence of the Front Desk Manager. This role is perfect for someone outgoing, engaging, and who loves connecting with people while showcasing excellent communication skills.
COLLABORATION & ENGAGEMENT
The Front Desk Lead works under the direct guidance of the Front Desk Manager. In addition to your home department, you will regularly work with all other departments. You will help oversee Guest Service Agents and can expect a significant level of interaction with guests and the public.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & JOB DUTIES
We're looking for someone who can...
- Review arrival reports, daily schedules, and special requests to stay prepared for the day ahead.
- Share the day’s activities and group events with the team to keep everyone on the same page.
- Warmly welcome guests, check them in, and get them set up with their room or cottage.
- Handle reservations, process payments, hand out room keys, and quickly coordinate with Housekeeping or Maintenance to resolve guest needs.
- Keep the front desk running smoothly by supporting daily operations, maintaining supplies, and ensuring equipment is in order.
- Work closely with Housekeeping to manage guest arrivals and ensure rooms are ready by 4 p.m. check-in time.
- Stay on top of front desk emails and gift card orders, keeping details accurate and organized.
- Double-check guest folios to make sure everything is accurate and ready to go.
- Listen to guest feedback and pass it along to the right manager to help us continuously improve.
- Lead the Guest Service Agents during shifts, ensuring smooth operations and maintaining standards.
- Participate in hiring and training new team members, sharing your knowledge and helping them thrive.
- Provide timely feedback to the Front Desk Manager on team performance, celebrating successes and addressing challenges.
- Foster a professional, respectful, and collaborative team environment.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Required | 1 years’ front desk experience
- Required | 2 years’ customer service experience
- Desirable | Prior hotel/resort experience
- Flexible work availability including weekends required
- Equivalent education, skills, and/or experience necessary to perform the essential functions may be considered
Permits & Certifications
- Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
- WA Food Worker Card required within 14 days after hire
- WA Class 12/13 Alcohol Server Permit (MAST) required within 60 days after hire

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
Physical Demands. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. They must frequently stand for extended periods, walk, sit, climb stairs, demonstrate hand and finger dexterity, reach, stoop, kneel, bend, twist, push, pull, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close and distance vision. The role may also require sustained visual and mental concentration.
Work Environment. Conditions are those of a hotel environment. It is a controlled setting with minimal noise levels and little variation in temperature.
