The ideal candidate for the sales position should have the following:
- Be enthusiastic with high energy
- Be outgoing and friendly, especially while handling objections
- Have quality customer service skills
- Have strong interpersonal and communications skills both in-person, over the phone and via email.
- Excellent verbal/written communication, strong negotiation and presentation skills
- Follow up with existing and potential customers to generate leads and close sales
- Be capable of learning and using new software and systems
- Be persistent but polite
- Have outstanding work ethic
- Be able to focuses on the customer’s wants and needs
- Enjoy being part of a team
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Professional Appearance
- Automotive sales experience is not a must but come highly recommended.
Job Duties
- Understands automobiles by studying characteristics, capabilities, and features, comparing and contrasting competitive models, inspecting automobiles.
- Develops buyers by maintaining rapport with previous customers, suggesting trade-ins, greeting drop-ins, and responding to inquiries
- Qualifies buyers by understanding buyer's requirements and interests, matching requirements and interests to various models, building rapport.
- Demonstrates automobiles by explaining characteristics, capabilities, and features, taking drives, explaining warranties and services.
- Closes sales by overcoming objections, asking for sales, negotiating price, completing sales or purchase contracts, explaining and offering warranties, services, and financing, collects payment, delivers automobile.
- Provides sales management information through constant communication.
- Enhances dealership reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
