What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bookkeeper position at Aldermill, Inc.?
Essential Responsibilities:
- Maintain up-to-date, live account receivables to ensure projects are continually updated and ready for performance reviews
- Maintain up-to-date account payables to ensure accounts are held in good standing
- Assist with setting up new vendors and maintain billing portals
- Collect, track, and store company financial data in order to help the business make critical financial decisions
- Manage cash flow by forecasting cash balances and determining operational cash needs based on account payables and account receivables
- Create new jobs, customers, etc. in accounting software
- Assist with preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
- Audit and correct financial data for discrepancies
- Assist with annual tax and insurance audits
- Manage and process payroll including W-2 and 1099 employees
- Prepare W-2’s and other tax documents for employees
- Manage personal email, accounting email, phone calls, and text messages; responding in a professional, timely manner
Qualifications:
- Attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizations skills
- Willingness to learn
- Experience with QuickBooks, accounting, bookkeeping, and Excel
