The key directive of the Sales Team is to create and execute a strategy to evolve from the siloed approach to sales to a wholistic approach which incorporates the strengths of every business unit in providing a consolidated solution to the end customer.
We are seeking a Sales Manager to oversee two of the portfolio companies, Aldetec (Sacramento, CA) and Broadband Wireless (Reno, NV) with either location being a potential as home office.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following are the essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned.
- Develops and drives sales budget/forecast.
- Responsible for the entire sales lifecycle from lead generation through customer satisfaction.
- Manages the daily activities of the inside sales function.
•Manages Field Sales Representatives, ensuring all territories are on track to meet forecasted goals.•Gathers market intelligence on competition and market trends; communicates information to sales associates and others as needed.
- Provides timely and accurate reports as required.
- Utilize CRM to maintain and drive customer management and forecasting.
- 25-50% travel to customer sites.
- Work with marketing team to ensure website is up-to-date.
- 25-50% Travel Expected to support customers and business growth initiatives.
- Performs other duties as assigned by manager.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) or equivalent. B.S. in Electrical Engineering will be given top priority. Preference will be given to those candidates who have RF design or application experience.
- Minimum of five years experience driving sales in the Defense Industry.
- Minimum of five years experience in RF Microwave components sales. Desired skill set includes selling RF Amplifiers and/or Converters.
- Must show demonstrated ability to qualify, nurture, and negotiate deal sizes of at least $50,000 per-order. Preference given to those candidates who can demonstrate higher level acumen inconsistently closing deal sizes exceeding $500,000.
- Experience with Salesforce or equivalent CRM.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Demonstrated success managing 3rd party manufacturing representatives.
- Track record of building key customer contacts within the Aerospace and Defense sector.
- Demonstrated experience working with Department of Defense contracting procedures, knowledge of the FAR and DFARS.
Salary : $50,000 - $500,000
