Position Title: Audiologist
Reports to: Operations Manager
Location: New Orleans, LA
Employment Status: Full-Time
FLSA Status: Exempt
Position Summary: Aldevra is currently recruiting for qualified Audiologists to support the Veterans Affairs (VA) hospital in New Orleans, LA. This position is contingent upon contract award.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations of hearing and balance disorders.
- Interpret audiometric test results and recommend treatment options.
- Fit, program, and troubleshoot hearing aids, cochlear implants, and assistive listening devices.
- Provide auditory rehabilitation services and counseling to patients and families.
- Maintain documentation and electronic health records in compliance with VA guidelines.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, and speech-language pathologists.
- Participate in patient education and outreach programs.
- Comply with all VA policies and infection control procedures.
- All other duties as assigned.

Workplace Safety and Environment:
This position is based in a clinical audiology environment and may involve direct patient interaction, diagnostic procedures, and use of specialized audiology equipment. Work is performed in examination rooms, sound booths, and clinical offices, with adherence to infection control protocols, safety guidelines, and proper equipment handling procedures.
This position requires passing an extensive background check.
Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree in Audiology (Au.D.) from an accredited program.
- Active and unrestricted license to practice audiology in the state of Louisiana.
- 1 year of experience in a clinical audiology setting.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Familiarity with VA systems and procedures (e.g., CPRS, VistA) is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Valid driver's license
- Excellent verbal communication skills and telephone manner
- Excellent and accurate written communication
- Familiarity with Windows operating systems; online calendars and cloud systems; intermediate to advanced skills Microsoft office products required
- Excellent attention to detail; accurate data entry
- Customer Focused and team-oriented work ethic
- Able to multi-task efficiently and accurately, focusing on quality
