What We Offer
The annual base pay for this role is between $140,000 - $190,000. The actual pay is dependent upon many factors, including location, work experience, education, training, transferable skills, business needs, and market conditions. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. The role may also be eligible for vehicle allowance and bonuses. Aldridge is seeking a Director of Business Operations to supporttheChiefOperating Officerwithriskmanagement,processmanagement, financial management, and employee development.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and continuously improve the contract review and approval process, while minimizing the company's exposure to risk
- Provide technical leadership to Project Managers and Support Departments
- Actively participate in the development of project management, division, and corporate policies and procedures
- Attend and/or facilitate corporate meetings, management meetings, project-planning meetings, project execution meetings, and project closeout meetings
- Establish and monitor goals and metrics for division cash position to ensure organizational objectives are being met
- Ensure that company tools and resources are being utilized for all projects and share results with other divisions
- Actively participate in strategic planning and perform other corporate leadership tasks as assigned by Executive VP, President, and CEO
- Actively participate in the development and execution of the company training program
- Review and report on trend analysis
- Drive pre-construction planning processes
- Act as a bridge between accounting and operations
- Review company dashboards and report red flags to Vice President
- Manage contract claims with the Vice President
- Support accounting team on collection issues (not billings)
- Host regular performance conversations to set goals, provide feedback, and support the development of direct reports
- Strong understanding of Aldridge processes and job cost
- Bachelor's degree in finance, construction management, or equivalent
- 10 years’ minimum experience in a construction firm or equivalent
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization
- Strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail
- Confidence in presenting ideas and recommendations to executive teams, while remaining diplomatic and respectful
- Ability to think and work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Excels at time management and prioritization, consistently meeting deadlines while generating high-quality work
