Accounting Specialist - Entry Level

Job Description

We are seeking an in office entry to mid level Accounting Specialist to become an integral part of our team! You will compile data, compute charges, and prepare invoices.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the timely and accurate application of debtor and/or customer payments to their respective accounts in CLS Collections Software. Payments are received by mail, online system, ACH and wire.
• Analyze and identify payment exceptions that could not be easily applied. This requires research and working closely with the Client and/or Operations.
• Perform Bank Reconciliations.
• Assist in the remitting of debtor funds to client.
• Perform remote bank deposits and other bank transactions as needed.
• Enter check requests (accounts payable) into CLS collection software.
• Keep accurate records in accordance with company standards.
• Review accounts that have been overpaid and issue refunds to consumers.
• A/R Reconciliation
• Other duties as assigned.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in billing, finance, or other related fields
• Knowledge of MS Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Willingness to learn and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Experience in data entry
• Excellent communication skills.
• Knowledge of standard accounting procedures
• Willingness to work independently as well as team.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
