What are the responsibilities and job description for the Litigation Associate - Honolulu, HI position at Aldridge Pite, LLP?
Purpose:
Aldridge Pite, LLP is looking for a Litigation Associate to practice out of the firm’s Honolulu office. The Litigation Associate will manage cases with an emphasis on residential real estate litigation, mortgage and transactional matters and protect the client's interest in litigation proceedings and general collection cases. The primary focus will be judicial foreclosure actions.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities:
Manage cases from inception to completion
Prepare analysis of case and advise client regarding strategies
Draft court pleadings, defense of motions
Attend court hearings, both telephonic and in person
Other duties and special projects as needed
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree
Juris Doctor from accredited law school
One year of experience in the practice of law, preferably litigation, real estate or mortgage law preferred but not required
Admission to practice law in the state of Hawaii
Must have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Must have the ability to interpret client systems
Must be proficient in software tools including but not limited to Word, Excel, Outlook and the Internet
Ability to manage and prioritize large caseloads
