Research Associate II – In Vivo Pharmacology will be responsible for conducting in vivo studies to evaluate potential therapeutics for neurodegenerative diseases. This role involves handling and dosing rodents, collecting samples for downstream biochemical assessments, assisting in animal disease model development, and maintaining accurate records to support PK/PD, efficacy, safety, POC, MOA in vivo studies.
\n- Perform in vivo pharmacology studies in rodent models of neurodegenerative diseases, including dosing (IV, IP, SC, PO, ICV) and tissue collection.
- Collect and process biological samples (blood, CSF, brain, and other organs) for downstream analysis.
- Assist in the development and optimization of disease models, including Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s disease, POC, MOA models.
- Maintain accurate records of experiments, protocols, and data in electronic lab notebooks (ELN).
- Collaborate daily with cross-functional teams, including Biology, ADPE, and Preclinical groups.
- Ensure compliance with IACUC protocols and maintain high standards of animal welfare.
- BS/MS in Neuroscience, Immunology, Biology, or a related field with 2 years of in vivo research experience (industry experience preferred).
- Hands-on experience with rodent handling, dosing techniques, in-life and terminal blood collection, and necropsy.
- Familiarity with lymph node harvesting and CSF collection is a plus.
- Familiarity with stereotaxic surgery and neuroanatomy is a plus.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and GraphPad Prism.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Highly adaptable and capable of adjusting to shifting priorities.
- Able to work in a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment.
