What are the responsibilities and job description for the Long Term Elementary Substitute Teacher - 5th/Math Walsh and Music Vandagriff position at Aledo ISD?
Aledo ISD is currently recruiting for two separate long term assignments. Both are Elementary teacher needs
One opening Music at Vandagriff Elementary starting 3/17/25 - through 5/5/25.
One opening 5th Math at Walsh Elementary starting on 2/24/25 - End of School Year.
These roles can be fulfilled by retired TRS members as both are not vacancies.

Requirements:
1. Texas teacher certifications for the grade level and subject area needed
Only certified/guest teachers may serve in a long-term position, at the principal’s discretion, in the absence of the classroom teacher. The certified long term substitute will earn $145 per day on the first consecutive day the substitute is teaching for the same teacher. The $145 per day rate shall continue until the conclusion of the extended period term. Substitute pay will reflect FICA and income tax withholdings based on the W-4.

- Guest Teachers are eligible to elect benefits once worked average of 10 hours a week over first 90 days serving in a Substitute capacity.
- Guest Teacher pay will reflect FICA and income tax withholdings based on the W-4.
